The play "Death of Tarelkin" from the trilogy "Pictures of the Past" was written by A.V. Sukhovo-Kobylin more than 150 years ago. Today, after a century and a half, the author looks at us inquisitively from the pages of his work.
The same questions, the same problems, the same person.
Desperate adventurer Tarelkin, wanting to hide from the persecution of creditors, decides on a bold adventure: to stage his own death... Nevertheless, behind the flow of the satirical odyssey, there are important, universal postulates: about conscience, justice, morality.
The combination of everyday realism and grotesque, satire and fiction promises the viewer a special aesthetic experience.
